Video Copilot has released Element 3D V2!

Andrew Kramer and his crew over at Video Copilot have just released their latest version of Element 3D. This is a fairly significant update over their previous version. Top features include:

  • Shadows and Improved Ambient Occlusion
  • Dynamic Reflection Maps
  • 3D Noise and Deformation tools
  • Ability to control/animate objects inside of After Effects
  • Per-Material Transfer Modes
  • Per-Material Wireframe
  • Sub Surface Scattering Materials
  • New Bevel tool for beveling edges
  • New interface for better control

A note however to those who are using the new Apple MacPro.  At the initial release NONE of the GPU’s (D300, D500 and D700) are supported. Video Copilot indicates that they are working on a solution.
